PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
The City of State Center is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Director.
This position shall provide supervisory oversite for the daily operations of the Public Works Department. Prior supervisory responsibility and oversight of a budget is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid Iowa Driver's license with a Class B Manual CDL with airbrakes and possess Iowa DNR Certifications for Water and Wastewater utilities licensure. Residency within city limits preferred. For applicants that do not currently possess the required IDNR Water Treatment, Water Distribution and Wastewater Treatment licensure, the City will consider hiring an individual under the condition that the licensure will be attained within a 12-month timeframe. Basic equipment operation and maintenance experience preferred. Minimum age requirement is 18 years of age. Must pass a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen.
Wage will depend on experience.
