HELP WANTED
Calhoun County is seeking applicants for the position of
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
The applicant will be responsible for the development of engineering projects under the direction of the County Engineer. *This includes assistance in the planning, surveying, design, drafting, and construction inspection of highway projects. *Bachelors or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited college or comparable education is preferred. *Surveying and construction inspection experience is desirable. *Applicants are required to hold a valid Iowa driver's license.
*Applicants must have or be able to obtain Iowa DOT certification in Level I HMA, Level I and II PCC inspection.
*Applicants should have knowledge of and working experience in AutoCad Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel.
This position requires good communication skills and the ability to establish a working relationship with co-workers, contractors and the public.
$29 to $34 hour based on qualifications.
